Lanterns began because I didn't know where to keep the love I have for my son. It was way too much to keep only inside me.

I started with writing, podcasts, and reels. But they all felt like they were for others. Lanterns was the first thing that felt like it was for him.

After I became a father, I started thinking more about what my father felt about me.

Not the things he said, but the things he never said.

Did he feel the same love for me that I feel for my son? That is one thing I would give anything to know.

Maybe that is why I am building Lanterns.

So my son never has to wonder. So that when he opens lanterns, he knows exactly how much his father loved him.Which is slightly more than way too much.
